Mauricio C. Ocampo

        Musicólogo, folklorist, poet, composer and director, was born in Ybycuí May of 1907, 14 he studied flute with the Red professor Juan F.. He went to Asunción where it fulfilled the military service in Police's Band, studying with the Italian Salvador Dentice and Nicolino Pellegrini.

        In 1928 he knew Eladio Martínez and they formed the duet Martínez-Cardozo undertaking, in 1931,

a  tour to the River of the Silver with Héctor Cuore's Uruguayan Co. of comedies. In the war of the Chaco he was devoted to collect bottom with their art for the Cruz Red Paraguayan. In Buenos Aires, it formed several groups and folkloric groupings, among them Ñande Coga", Guarani Folkloric Grouping", Guarani Folkloric Club", etc. IN Asunción formed the Guarani Lot", and its group, the one that more prestige reached, " Perurima ".

        Some of their works are: " Amambay ", I Populate Ybycui", Paraguayan Linda", My destination", Gift of love", The seven cabrillas", " Starlet ", " Gunboat ", How pretty it is my flag", " Heart ", you dream again", Guarani Corner", Che sy my porä", Mombyry güivé", Ondina of the Silver", " Galopera ", Floats Paraguayan and many more. He/she died in Buenos Aires May 5 1982.
